Old Testament
Bezalel
A skilled craftsman chosen by God to oversee the construction of the Tabernacle and its furnishings.
Bezalel, son of Uri, was filled with the Spirit of God and endowed with artistic skill to design and craft the Tabernacle's holy items. His work demonstrated that God equips individuals with specific talents for the service of His kingdom and the beauty of His sanctuary. While the name appears in Ezra, that individual is a different person, as the primary biblical Bezalel is defined by his role in the Exodus narrative.
