Old Testament
Dishan
A son of Seir the Horite and a tribal chief among the inhabitants of the land of Edom.
Dishan was the youngest son of Seir the Horite, a prominent figure in the region of Edom before the descendants of Esau took possession of the land. He is listed in the genealogical records of Genesis and 1 Chronicles as a chief of the Horites. His inclusion serves to document the ancestral inhabitants of Mount Seir and the historical context of the Edomite expansion.
