Old Testament
Hamutal
The daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah and mother of Kings Jehoahaz and Zedekiah of Judah.
Hamutal was a queen mother of Judah during the final years of the Davidic monarchy. She is identified as the mother of two successive kings, Jehoahaz and Zedekiah, both of whom reigned during the period of Babylonian decline. Her prominence in the genealogical records of 2 Kings and Jeremiah highlights the influence of the queen mother in the royal court.
