Haran
The son of Terah and father of Lot, who died in Ur of the Chaldeans before his family migrated to Canaan.
Haran was the brother of Abram and Nahor, mentioned in the genealogical records of Terah's descendants. His death in his native land of Ur serves as a significant historical marker in the narrative of Abram's departure. While the name Haran also identifies a prominent city in Mesopotamia where Terah later settled, the individual Haran is primarily noted for his lineage and his daughter Milcah and son Lot.
