Hemam

A descendant of Seir the Horite and a son of Lotan, listed among the chiefs of Edom.

Hemam is identified in the genealogies of Genesis 36 and 1 Chronicles 1 as a son of Lotan and a grandson of Seir the Horite. He represents the lineage of the Horites who inhabited the region of Mount Seir before being displaced by the descendants of Esau. His inclusion serves to document the ancestral lines and tribal structure of the Edomite region.
