Old Testament
Hoham
The Amorite king of Hebron who joined a coalition to attack Gibeon for making peace with Israel.
Hoham was one of five Amorite kings who formed a military alliance to punish the Gibeonites for their treaty with Joshua. Following the defeat of his forces by Israel, he was captured, humiliated, and executed by Joshua at Makkedah. His story serves as a historical record of the failed resistance against the Israelite conquest of Canaan.
