Old Testament
Piram
The Amorite king of Jarmuth who joined a coalition against Gibeon and Joshua.
Piram was the king of Jarmuth who formed a military alliance with four other Amorite kings to attack Gibeon for making peace with Israel. This coalition was defeated by Joshua at the battle of Gibeon, after which Piram and the other kings were captured and executed. His role serves to illustrate the organized resistance of the Canaanite kingdoms against the Israelite conquest.
