Old Testament
Imnah
A son of Asher who became the patriarch of the Imnite clan among the Israelites.
Imnah was the firstborn son of Asher, listed among those who accompanied Jacob to Egypt. He is significant as the progenitor of the Imnite clan, a family line within the tribe of Asher recorded in the census during the wilderness wanderings. Later references to the name in Chronicles likely refer to his descendants who served in the temple administration.
