Old Testament
Ithran
A descendant of Seir the Horite and a tribal leader among the inhabitants of Edom.
Ithran is identified in the genealogies of Genesis 36 and 1 Chronicles 7 as a son of Dishon and a grandson of Seir the Horite. He represents the ancestral lines of the Horites who inhabited the land of Edom before the descendants of Esau settled there. His inclusion in these records serves to document the tribal lineage and historical demographics of the region.
