Old Testament
Izhar
A Levite of the Kohathite clan, son of Kohath and father of Korah, Moses, and Aaron's cousin.
Izhar was a grandson of Levi and a prominent member of the Kohathite branch of the Levites. He is primarily identified through his genealogy, serving as the father of Korah, who led a rebellion against Moses. His descendants, the Izharites, held various administrative and gatekeeping duties in the service of the tabernacle and later the temple.
