Amram
The son of Kohath and father of Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, who descended from the tribe of Levi.
Amram was a Levite who married Jochebed and became the patriarch of the family chosen to lead Israel out of Egyptian bondage. While the primary Amram is the father of Moses, the name also appears in the genealogy of Ezra among those who took foreign wives. His significance lies in his role as the progenitor of the Levitical priesthood and the prophetic leadership of Israel.
