Merari
The third son of Levi and progenitor of the Merarite Levites, who were responsible for the tabernacle structure.
Merari was the youngest son of Levi, born in Canaan before the migration to Egypt. His descendants, the Merarites, were one of the three primary Levitical clans tasked with the transport and maintenance of the tabernacle's structural components, including frames, bars, pillars, and bases. Their service was essential to the orderly worship and movement of the Israelites during the wilderness wanderings.
