New Testament
Jannai
An ancestor of Jesus Christ listed in the genealogy recorded in the Gospel of Luke.
Jannai is mentioned only once in the genealogy of Jesus provided in Luke 3:24. He appears as the son of Joseph and the father of Melchi in the ancestral line leading back to Nathan, the son of David. His inclusion serves to document the human lineage of Jesus as part of the historical record.
