Jezebel
A Phoenician princess and queen of Israel who promoted Baal worship and persecuted the prophets of Yahweh.
Jezebel was the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians, and the wife of King Ahab of Israel. She exerted significant influence in introducing idolatry to the northern kingdom and was responsible for the death of Naboth to secure his vineyard. Her name later appears in the book of Revelation as a symbolic reference to a false prophetess leading believers into immorality.
