Lot
The nephew of Abraham who chose to settle in Sodom and was later rescued by angels before its destruction.
Lot was the son of Haran and nephew of the patriarch Abraham, accompanying him on his journey to Canaan. He is best known for his choice to dwell in the fertile but wicked city of Sodom, from which he was delivered by divine intervention. Scripture highlights his struggle with the surrounding culture, ultimately identifying him as a righteous man vexed by the lawless conduct of his neighbors.
