Lamech
A descendant of Cain known for his boastful song of vengeance and his role in the early genealogy of humanity.
Lamech is identified in Genesis as a descendant of Cain who introduced polygamy and declared a violent song of retribution against those who harmed him. Scripture records him as the father of Jabal, Jubal, and Tubal-Cain, representing a shift toward technological and cultural development in the pre-flood era. A separate Lamech, the son of Methuselah and father of Noah, appears in the Sethite genealogy and is listed in the lineage of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke.
