Old Testament
Madai
The third son of Japheth and grandson of Noah, listed in the Table of Nations.
Madai is identified in the genealogies of Genesis 10 and 1 Chronicles 1 as a son of Japheth. He is traditionally associated with the Medes, representing one of the ancestral lines that populated the earth following the flood. His inclusion in the biblical record serves to document the expansion and diversification of the nations descended from Noah.
