Old Testament
Mibsam
One of the twelve sons of Ishmael and a tribal leader among the Ishmaelites.
Mibsam is listed in the genealogies of Genesis and 1 Chronicles as a son of Ishmael, the son of Abraham and Hagar. As one of the twelve princes descended from Ishmael, he represents the expansion of Ishmael's lineage into distinct tribal groups. His inclusion serves to document the fulfillment of the divine promise that Ishmael would become the father of twelve tribal leaders.
