Old Testament · Major figure
Micaiah
A faithful prophet of Yahweh who courageously spoke truth to King Ahab despite intense pressure.
Micaiah son of Imlah is best known for his bold confrontation with King Ahab of Israel, where he refused to compromise God's message for political favor. He serves as a model of prophetic integrity, standing alone against four hundred false prophets to declare the Lord's true will. While other minor figures in the Old Testament share the name Micaiah, the prophet in 1 Kings 22 remains the most significant biblical reference.
