Ahab

The seventh king of Israel who promoted Baal worship and frequently clashed with the prophet Elijah.

Ahab was a king of the Northern Kingdom of Israel whose reign was marked by significant apostasy and the institutionalization of Baal worship, largely influenced by his wife, Jezebel. He is best known for his intense confrontations with the prophet Elijah regarding his defiance of Yahweh's covenant. Despite his military successes, his legacy is defined by his moral failure and the divine judgment pronounced against his house.
