Zedekiah
The final king of Judah whose reign ended in the fall of Jerusalem and the Babylonian exile.
Zedekiah was the last monarch of the Davidic line to rule in Jerusalem before its destruction by Nebuchadnezzar II. Despite frequent warnings from the prophet Jeremiah to submit to Babylon, he rebelled, leading to the city's siege, his capture, and the blinding of his eyes. His reign marks the tragic fulfillment of divine judgment upon Judah for persistent idolatry and covenant breaking.
