Old Testament
Rehob
A city in the territory of Asher, later identified as a Levitical city assigned to the Gershonite clan.
Rehob was a city located in the tribal allotment of Asher, near the entrance of Hamath. It is significant as one of the cities given to the Levites of the Gershonite family. While the Israelites initially failed to drive out all the inhabitants, it remained a notable geographic and administrative location in the history of the northern tribes.
