Old Testament
Rephaiah
A descendant of David mentioned in the royal genealogy and a leader who helped rebuild Jerusalem's wall.
Rephaiah is identified in 1 Chronicles 3:21 as a descendant of Zerubbabel within the royal line of David. In Nehemiah 3:9, a man by this name is recorded as a ruler of half the district of Jerusalem who assisted in repairing the city wall. While these may be distinct individuals, both represent the post-exilic restoration of Israel's lineage and infrastructure.
