An Ammonite king who insulted David's envoys, and a post-exilic returnee who helped rebuild Jerusalem's wall.
The name Hanun refers to two distinct biblical figures. The first was an Ammonite king whose humiliation of David's messengers triggered a war between Israel and Ammon. The second was a man who returned from the Babylonian exile and assisted Nehemiah in repairing the wall of Jerusalem.
