New Testament
Rhesa
A descendant of Zerubbabel and an ancestor of Jesus listed in the genealogy of Luke 3.
Rhesa is mentioned only in the genealogy of Jesus Christ recorded in Luke 3:27. He is identified as the son of Zerubbabel and the father of Joanan in the lineage tracing Jesus back to David and Adam. His inclusion serves to establish the legal and biological ancestry of Jesus as the promised Messiah.
