Old Testament
Shebna
A high-ranking official under King Hezekiah who served as the royal steward of the palace.
Shebna served as the steward over the royal household during the reign of King Hezekiah. He is noted for his pride, which drew a divine rebuke through the prophet Isaiah, who foretold his replacement by Eliakim. Despite this demotion, he remained a prominent figure in the royal administration during the Assyrian siege of Jerusalem.
