Old Testament · Major figure
Gehazi
The servant of Elisha the prophet who was struck with leprosy due to his greed and deceit.
Gehazi served as the personal attendant to the prophet Elisha, witnessing many of his miracles. He is primarily remembered for his attempt to profit from Naaman the Syrian's healing, an act of greed that resulted in him being struck with leprosy. His story serves as a sober warning regarding the corruption of heart that can occur even in the presence of divine power.
