Hoshea
The final king of the northern kingdom of Israel who reigned during its fall to Assyria.
Hoshea was the last king of Israel, taking the throne after assassinating Pekah. His reign ended when he was imprisoned by the king of Assyria for failing to pay tribute and seeking an alliance with Egypt. His downfall marked the end of the northern kingdom and the beginning of the exile of the ten tribes.
