Old Testament
Pekahiah
The seventeenth king of Israel who reigned for two years before being assassinated by Pekah.
Pekahiah was the son of Menahem and ruled over the northern kingdom of Israel from Samaria. His brief two-year reign was marked by spiritual failure, as he continued in the sins of Jeroboam. He was ultimately killed in his palace by his captain, Pekah, who seized the throne.
