Old Testament
Sheleph
A descendant of Shem through Joktan, listed among the nations in the Table of Nations.
Sheleph is identified in the genealogies of Genesis 10 and 1 Chronicles 1 as a son of Joktan and a descendant of Shem. As part of the Table of Nations, he represents one of the ancestral lines that populated the earth following the flood. His inclusion serves to document the expansion of the post-flood human family.
