Old Testament
Shishak
The Egyptian Pharaoh who sheltered Jeroboam and later invaded Judah during Rehoboam's reign.
Shishak was a Pharaoh of Egypt who provided political asylum to Jeroboam I when he fled from Solomon. Later, in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak led a massive military campaign against Judah, capturing fortified cities and plundering the treasures of the temple and the royal palace in Jerusalem. His invasion serves as a historical record of divine judgment against Judah for their unfaithfulness to the Lord.
