Old Testament
Tibni
A contender for the throne of Israel who led a faction against Omri after the death of Zimri.
Tibni was the son of Ginath and a rival claimant to the throne of Israel following the suicide of King Zimri. His attempt to seize power resulted in a civil war that lasted several years until his supporters were defeated by the faction of Omri. His death allowed Omri to consolidate control over the northern kingdom.
