Old Testament
Zaavan
A descendant of Seir the Horite and a son of Ezer listed among the chiefs of Edom.
Zaavan is identified in the genealogical records of Genesis 36 and 1 Chronicles 1 as a descendant of Seir the Horite. As a son of Ezer, he represents one of the clans that inhabited the region of Edom prior to the Edomite conquest. His inclusion in these lists serves to document the ancestral lines and tribal structure of the Horites who occupied the land before the descendants of Esau.
