Old Testament
Abiram
A Reubenite who joined Korah in a rebellion against the authority of Moses and Aaron.
Abiram was the son of Eliab and a leader among the Reubenites who challenged the leadership of Moses during the wilderness wanderings. Alongside Dathan and Korah, he questioned the divine appointment of Moses and Aaron, leading to a catastrophic judgment where the earth opened and swallowed them. His story serves as a sober warning regarding the consequences of defying God-ordained authority.
