Adam
The first human created by God, whose disobedience introduced sin and death into the world.
Adam was formed by God from the dust of the ground and placed in the Garden of Eden to steward creation. His choice to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil brought the fall of humanity, necessitating God's plan of redemption. Scripture identifies him as the federal head of the human race, whose transgression is contrasted with the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
