Arpachshad
A son of Shem and ancestor of Abraham, listed in the post-Flood genealogical records.
Arpachshad was the son of Shem, born two years after the Flood, and serves as a vital link in the genealogical line from Noah to Abraham. His inclusion in the records of Genesis 10 and 11, as well as the genealogy of Jesus in Luke 3, establishes the historical continuity of the messianic lineage. He represents the early post-diluvian generations through whom the covenantal promises were preserved.
