Jehoram
The son of Jehoshaphat who reigned as the wicked king of Judah, leading the nation into idolatry.
Jehoram was the king of Judah who married Athaliah, the daughter of Ahab, and followed the evil ways of the house of Ahab. His reign was marked by the murder of his brothers, military defeats, and a painful, divinely ordained illness. He is also listed in the genealogy of Jesus Christ in the Gospel of Matthew, though he is distinct from the contemporary Jehoram who ruled the northern kingdom of Israel.
