Jehoshaphat

A godly king of Judah who sought the Lord, reformed the nation's worship, and allied with the house of Ahab.

Jehoshaphat was a king of Judah known for his commitment to the Law of the Lord and his efforts to establish judicial and religious reforms. While he is commended for his faithfulness, his political and military alliances with the northern kingdom of Israel often brought him into conflict with prophetic warnings. His reign is most notably marked by his reliance on God during the miraculous victory over the Moabites and Ammonites in 2 Chronicles 20.
