Midian

The son of Abraham and Keturah, and the progenitor of the Midianite people group.

Midian was the fourth son born to Abraham and his wife Keturah. His descendants, the Midianites, became a significant nomadic people group who interacted frequently with Israel, notably providing refuge for Moses in the wilderness. The name later represents the region and the people who often acted as adversaries or allies to the Israelites throughout the Old Testament.
