Old Testament
Nepheg
A son of Izhar and grandson of Kohath, listed in the genealogical records of the tribe of Levi.
Nepheg is identified in the genealogies of Exodus 6:21 as a son of Izhar, a descendant of Levi through Kohath. He is also mentioned in the lists of David's sons in 2 Samuel 5:15 and 1 Chronicles 3:7 and 14:6. Because the name appears in two distinct contexts, it refers to two separate individuals: a Levite ancestor and a son of King David.
