Old Testament
Shobach
The commander of the Aramean forces who led his army against King David.
Shobach served as the commander-in-chief of the Aramean army under Hadadezer. He gathered forces from beyond the Euphrates to confront David at Helam, where he was defeated and killed by the Israelites. His death marked the end of Aramean resistance against David's kingdom during that campaign.
