Old Testament
Zur
A Midianite leader and father of Cozbi, executed during the plague at Peor for Israel's apostasy.
Zur was a head of a father's house among the Midianites. He is primarily noted for his daughter Cozbi, who was killed by Phinehas for leading an Israelite man into idolatry and sexual immorality. Consequently, Zur was slain by the Israelites during their war of vengeance against Midian.
