Old Testament
Jehudi
A royal official who served as a messenger for King Jehoiakim during the reading of Jeremiah's scroll.
Jehudi was a court official sent by the princes of Judah to summon Baruch to read Jeremiah's prophecies. He later read the scroll before King Jehoiakim, who systematically destroyed it. His role highlights the king's direct defiance of the word of the Lord delivered through the prophet Jeremiah.
