Old Testament
Hephzibah
The wife of King Hezekiah and the mother of King Manasseh of Judah.
Hephzibah is identified in 2 Kings 21:1 as the mother of Manasseh, who succeeded his father Hezekiah to the throne of Judah. Her name, meaning 'my delight is in her,' is also used prophetically in Isaiah 62:4 to describe the future restoration of Zion. Beyond her role as a queen mother, the biblical text provides no further details regarding her life or influence.
