Old Testament
Jedidah
The daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath and the mother of King Josiah of Judah.
Jedidah is identified in 2 Kings 22:1 as the mother of King Josiah, one of the few kings of Judah who did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. Her name, meaning beloved, is recorded solely to establish the royal lineage of her son. She remains a minor figure mentioned only to provide genealogical context for Josiah's reign.
