Asher
The eighth son of Jacob and Zilpah, and the patriarch of the Tribe of Asher in Israel.
Asher was born to Jacob and Leah's servant Zilpah, and his name signifies happiness or blessedness. His descendants formed one of the twelve tribes of Israel, which settled in a fertile coastal region of Galilee. The tribe is noted for its prosperity and role in the history of the nation, appearing in the final prophetic vision of the sealed servants in Revelation.
