Solomon

The son of David and third king of Israel, renowned for his God-given wisdom and the construction of the Temple.

Solomon succeeded his father David as king of Israel, famously requesting wisdom from God to govern His people. He is best known for building the first Temple in Jerusalem and authoring portions of the Wisdom literature. Despite his immense wealth and influence, his later years were marked by spiritual compromise due to his many foreign wives, leading to the eventual division of the kingdom.
