David
The second king of Israel, a man after God's own heart, and the ancestor of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
David was a shepherd, musician, and warrior chosen by God to replace Saul as king of Israel. He established Jerusalem as the capital and received the Davidic Covenant, which promised an eternal throne through his lineage. Despite his grave sins, he is defined by his repentance and unwavering faith in the Lord, serving as the primary human author of the Psalms.
